| Introduction | I am an advocate, teacher, sibling, friend, & consultant to & for people with disabilities.I have witnessed many changes in laws, services, rights, attitudes, beliefs and ideals about people with disabilities.I taught in public school when segregating students with disabilities was the norm & accepted.I was a central office special ed admin in a large urban district. I am an adjunct at 2 Ohio universities where I teach education classes.I am an educational consultant at an Ohio regional resource center where I work with teachers, admins, families & others in NEOhio.I love being a consultant & being able to work with, assist, coach, & encourage various service providers about how to improve services & outcomes for people with disabilities.I don’t have all the answers but I’m persistent, passionate & willing to do whatever it takes to find solutions to barriers preventing individuals with disabilities from achieving at high levels, graduating high school ready for adulthood & find a sense of community & belonging in every environment |
