Introduction "Diak ka lae?" is a standard greeting in Tetun, Timor-Leste's official indigenous language. "Diak Malae" is bad Tetun for 'good foreigner'. Malae does not tend to have the same negative connotations that 'foreigner' or 'alien' carry in many cultures.
