| Introduction | Winter Bear Trading has been in business since 1983. We started out in my mother's old victorian house and four car garage. The "garage" was divided into the parking area in the back wash room complete with washer/dryer and deep sink, a walk-in meat locker/dry goods room, a work bench room and a front room that was converted into the Trading Post. It was filled in every nook and cranny with Native American Arts and Crafts, Turquoise Jewelry, Pottery, Kachina's, Rugs, Fetishes, Pendleton Blankets and leather goods with Bead Work. It was such a beautiful little store with so much history and love attached to it. Now mom is gone and I am left with an online trading post surviving by selling on eBay and the website. It has been a wonderful experience and like anything in life it blossomed exponentially into something bigger, stronger and full of mystery and life. I wouldn't trade one day of my life with Winter Bear for all the Turquoise on Mother Earth. |
