| Introduction | I am a Chaldean-American woman born to Iraqi immigrants and a recent law school graduate. I fled a violent home situation as a teenager, because I was told as an American woman I was free. When I left, I became homeless promptly and was targeted by pimps, strip-clubs, and others with frightening intentions towards me. I realized women are not really free in America either - women are not really free anywhere. |
