Introduction	My name is Alex. I am 23 years old and was diagnosed with pelvic floor dysfunction about 3 years ago. It's not cancer or a life threatening disease, but it has been way more life changing than I ever thought possible. I would even go as far as saying it has defined me, and not in the best way (although it has made me stronger). My story with pelvic pain could go on and on, but here is the bottom line: I was once able to enjoy having sex and now I am not. It is now painful and uncomfortable and something I have come to dread. Not just in the moment pain, but pain that lasts for days. This condition affects me physically and mentally and is something I struggle with everyday. This blog is my way of chronicling my life as a 23 year old who appears to be perfectly healthy but is trying to beat this chronic condition that has become physically and mentally debilitating.
