Introduction	Hi! My name is Helen and I live in Northwich, Cheshire in the UK. My love of stitching started about 6 years ago when my Mum bought me a Sewing and Cross Stitch book when my daughter was born - for me to do 'in my spare time' she said. I decided to start small & bought a small cross stitch kit of an owl and my passion for cross stitch was unleashed! I then completed a birth sampler for my daughter which took me MONTHS but which now sits very proudly on the wall. A few years ago I designed and stitched loads of cross stitch key rings to sell to raise money for our new church building. My appetite was whetted. I was then in a shop looking at the mass-produced crafty-type Christmas decorations and I said to myself 'I could do that, and make a much better job of it.' So I did! I started Helen Small Designs in October 2011 and I haven’t looked back since! I'm always on the look-out for new ideas and I'm always thinking 'I could make this' or 'I could try that!' Definitely more ideas than time at the moment! My dream is to have my own craft room/workshop rather than having to share the table with all the other demands of a busy household. Who knows - maybe one day!
