About me

Gender Female
Occupation pregnancy & birth support
Location Bedfordshire, United Kingdom
Introduction I'm a mum of five(four homebirths inc one waterbirth). For the last 12 years I have supported family and local women in their pregnancies and preparation for birth. I believe in empowering women for their births through support and information. I am not a midwife but have been to conferences, read lots of books and supported lots of women. I am a volunteer for NCT, on the national committee of AIMS, have chaired the local hospital's Maternity Services Liaison Ctte and run a Sure Start Children's Centre. The information is out there and how to support women to have straightforward births is not rocket science. I know our bodies are amazing. I have been lucky enough to be called in labour a few times to be a companion. I consider myself a sister-in-birth to those who have let me be with them at their births.
