| Introduction | Is it possible to have read most of Starwars Extended Universe but still be able to discuss the footy down Weatherspoons? Can one explain the plot of Battlestar Galatica and still date a girl with two or less piercings? At The Acceptable Geek Club we believe the answer to these and other important questions is 'Yes. Probably, yes'. At The Acceptable Geek Club we believe there is a bit of geek in every man, and a bit of man in every geek. Harnessed correctly, with the streams well and truly crossed, their potential is unlimited. In recent years the geek has become a fad. Cool, clever and the thing that everyone hankers for or to be. We take as our inspiration Seth from The OC and that lank-haired Asian lad from 90210. But can such a lifestyle be achieved? We hope so, and this our attempt to help you do that. We'll provide you with your daily (well, probably not daily) dose of Sci-fi, statistics, LARPing and Lord of the Rings and you, in return, have to use these correctly in the real world. Got it? Good. Let's give geeks a good name... |
