| Introduction | Aloha, Thanks for stopping in! My name is James Merritt. My friends call me "Motor" (a nickname that I have had for longer than i care to admit) I am a landscape designer living and working in Wausau, Wisconsin. My life has taken many roads, twisting and turning through years in the entertainment industry, through several entrepreneurial endeavors, across five continents, to the middle of the Pacific Ocean. From LA - LA Land, to the Heartland, this life has been one amazing journey. I have been blessed by many friends, teachers, mentors and cultures. I began landscaping in Hawaii in 1987 and this is where my love for tropical and Asian influence began. For the last two years I have been a contributing writer to the Wausau Daily Herald. I started this blog as an archive for my past articles and as a platform to exchange ideas, tips and stories on subjects such as landscaping, gardening, organics, organic cooking, environmental issues and anything else that is part of this blessing called life.
