Introduction Freda L. Mays has demonstrated her multifaceted skills in the entertainment industry with a savvy business sense and creative intuitiveness. Freda Mays has under her belt, successful personal management experience, business consulting knowledge, and has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show not once but twice. She has served as a consultant, lending her services and knowledge to numerous public entities such as Upfront/Universal who signed artist Akon. Mays is the former personal manager of such acts as the 69 Boyz, Quad City DJs, 95 South, RAab, Dis-n-Dat and the vocal quartet 11 D Extreme, She was pivotal in the in the platinum success of the Quad City DJ’s debut album and hit singles “C’mon N Ride It (The Train)” and “Space Jam”. The title song off the Space Jam Soundtrack titled “Space Jam” performed by Quad City DJs led to a 1998 Grammy nomination for the best dance song of the year. This multitalented career woman from Virginia is a stage 4 breast cancer survivor, still undergoing treatments. She does not mind talking about the cancer but please don’t pity her. She takes a page from the book of her best friend who passed in May, 2012, “Just keep it Moving.”
