| Introduction | I am an indigenous/native Micronesian/Pacific Islander from Belau, a woman of color, a single mother, an activist, an educator, and a graduate student. My mother's lineage can be traced through Orreor and Irrai; my father's lineage can be traced through Blililou and Ngeaur. I have lived in the U.S. (Washington and California) for over 10 years. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. at the University of California, San Diego in the Department of Ethnic Studies. |
