Introduction I am a believer, I believe in hope. I am resilient (otherwise I wouldnt have got this far! or stayed so long on the one road) a hopeless romantic - how this is possible with my life I have no idea...love the first few bits from the; about one of the greatest things in life we can achieve is to have loved at least one person with all your heart. I believe in magic; miracles, not the wave your wand sort of stuff, more the wish it long enough, believe and work your butt off to make it happen, let your gut, skill and unwaivering determination guide you.... sort of thing. I believe we have a destiny, we are all here for a purpose, everything, every moment, every amazing event, every stuff up, its all part of our journey, even the heart breaking, hard to let go, stay with you forever memories.... each part of the grand design of who we are, who we become....each moment to get us to a place where we like who we are, are happy with where we have been, love the friends who joined us for the ride, the family who didn't give up and glad we brought the ticket in the first place ....
Interests How many can I list? My kids are the most interesting journey in my life, On the self-side - I am/was pursuing a career in anthropology, then I pressed the pause button while I took on a few challenges & career change, still have a passion for human behaviour engrained under my skin :) I want to be the change in the world, realistic about the prospects and hopeful. I have a list for research longer than a child's Christmas list!"if you are not part of the solution...then you are part of the problem"...., Would love to see more love, less war, more forgiveness, less anger. I hang-out for great books - and....good, no ...great movies that move you, change the way you think!!! I love a few laughs and enjoying what it means to be alive. My religion is my body "we are what we eat", what goes in is what comes out & I reward the hardwork! Passionate yogi & hope someday relaxation therapy becomes second to brushing your teeth! A Mum full-time, regardless of how many hours I work or study.. "We define ourselves by the best that is in us....not the worst that has been done to us"....- Edward Lewis... This really sums it up - I am an early bird - love getting up before the sun, love the outdoors (it always grounds me - reminds me how small we really are, helps give a little perspective when things seem bigger than they really are)..I love to drive - those who know me know this, love a good long trip, Then there is what really takes me away - painting/more so drawing, its all a bit out there, but what did Vincent V.G. say when the voice in your head says you don't know how to paint, that is when you need to paint the most
Favorite Movies Of all time ....Out of Africa then well.....Crash ...how can you not be moved, totally uprooted by this movie? One sunday in April (going from memory...)...this movie tells it how it was and every person who gives a damn should sit through it... Notebook...I know out of character but hey its the romance...its the she loves him, he loves her, its not perfect...life takes them elsewhere, he waits his whole life for her, life brings them back together ....relationships are so not perfect, thats what makes it what it is....destiny? 25/7/08 - just watched 'In the Valley of Elah' this weekend - interesting insight into combat PTSD, its cold, a bit chilling, but very realistic - same guy produced 'Crash' - I like his style. 'Atonement' - another good movie about how nothing lasts forever, about life not being perfect, about being who you are no matter what... 7 Pounds - I knew from the beginning, love Will Smith and the 'we all have a purpose' meaning, its a journey, who knows what turn comes next, we get to choose when to change the direction.... Movies...all movies...they are totally amazing...the work, the effort, long hours...they change the way we think...
Favorite Music at the moment I am playing Brandi Carlisle (thanks Leigh!!), I love romantic French music, foxy latin american, smooth jazz, music to paint to, music to cry and laugh to, I love opera really loud when I'm in the mood, swing...sometimes can't get enough of swing. Romantic, melancholoy music - yet then again with my Mummy hat on, I can't help tap, shake and moove with the music from Madagasca, sing with the kids and enjoy a little hip hop - hey can't beat Fergie at the moment - you go girl !!! those guys with tattoos work everytime!!! I can enjoy any music in the right mood - love Linkin Park and Powderfinger on the treadmill !!!
Favorite Books Of all time...I loved G. Robertson Q.C. - Crimes Against Humanity, then the biography of Nelson Mandela, Clea's 'Bone Woman' (this book reconfirmed that I was on the right track)...then if you want to question why and who we are read 'Tuesdays with Morrie' 'The five people you meet in heaven' and every mitch albom book!!! Currently reading 'They F*** you up' by Oliver James - can't use the title as a reference, shame this guy is a fantatstic writer, last book I read was 'Affluenza' like his view of the world/life - great insight into nature/nurture and the impact of family on who you/we become, also finishing Dave Pelzer's 'Help Yourself', Most of the time anything on childhood development/trauma with a different perspective....I have nearly all of Margaret Mead's books and 'Lucy: the beginnings of Humankind' by D. Johanson & Edey....then there is Leakey's 'Origins Reconsidered'..... I will add to this list as I go along because I never stop reading. Eckhart Tolle's book ' A new Earth' was a good read, contemplating

If you could be anything in the world what would you be ?
