IntroductionJEAN BOURQUE Paints to live music. She gets into the beat of the music and creates from the sound. She has been an artist at Ward Nasse Gallery in NYC since the 90s. In 1998, the art traveled to R Trade Gallery in the Netherlands. Artwork has been shown at Saatchi Gallery UK, Ward Nasse Gallery NYC. She has had several solo shows including Artsy Fartsy Gallery, Richland Public Library, Gotham and Trustus Theater. Her work with the late Guy Lipscomb, Jr. honed her skills in abstract painting. She studied impressionistic oil painting for over a decade with Ilona Royce Smithken of Painting with Ilona (SCETV), pastels with Jason Chang, collage with Gerald Brommer and with other talented people. Jean has a degree in Business. In 2008 she earned a certificate in Web design. In 2009 she earned a certificate in Alternative health. In 2013-14, she suffered stage 3 breast cancer. When she was declared cancer free, she decided to do the one thing she always wanted to do. She is going for her Masters degree in Fine Art.
