| Introduction | I love dealing with and learning about money. Professionally, I have been in senior financial leadership positions for companies with operations in both the US and Canada, and I am a CPA (CA, inactive). Personally, I love learning and teaching others about personal finance. I strongly believe that if people will learn and apply basic financial principles, their lives and society as a whole would dramatically improve. No, money doesn't buy happiness and can’t solve every problem, but having personal finances in order reduces stress and makes it easier to deal with the other challenges of life. In an effort to spread personal financial knowledge, I facilitate Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University (FPU) and write a personal finance column in the local newspaper. After writing the column for several months I realized that I could take advantage of technology and broadcast my column to the world! I started this blog to keep an archive of my newspaper columns. |
