Introduction	I have been pulled in three major directions in my life: science, (especially as it applies to inventions); policy (especially energy and resource policy, including political activism); and entrepreneurship. My number one goal in life is to bring The supergrid closer to reality through my inventions. I believe a supergrid is the only practical way to enable a renewable energy–based economy.
Interests	Really passionate about slowing climate change and breaking our addiction to fossil fuels before it is too late. My piece of that puzzle is to advocate for a supergrid, and to contribute to making the supergrid possible technologically. My two particular contributions are elpipes (underground high capacity, high efficiency transmission lines), and Ballistic Breakers, which are a key technology to enable DC grids at several different power levels, from microgrids to supergrids.
