Introduction | I'm 41 years old. A South African missionary working among the Thai speaking Buddhists of Northern Thailand. I have been married to my first wife, Trish for 13 years and have 3 children - my son, Jonty (4), and my daughters, Emily (2), and Nina, (1). I became a Christian around 13 years ago. At that time I was an attorney, working in Johannesburg with a bright future and promising prospects. As time went by however, I felt a deep dissatisfaction with corporate life and the pursuit of financial gain. Over the course of time, I realised that God had a call on my life. I resigned from my job in 1998 and started studying theology whilst working as a Student Pastor at Rosebank Union Church in Johannesburg. Two years into my studies, Trish and I knew that God was calling us to be missionaries in Thailand. At the end of 4 years of study, I worked as an associate pastor at Rosebank Union. Then in 2003, we set off for Thailand. We have just started our second 4-year term. |
