I am a professor of Mongolian studies at Indiana University, who has spent many years in Mongolia and China and lives day to day with Mongolian and Chinese books. American, descendant of families from Puritan Boston (mother's mother), backcountry South Carolina (mother's father), Plymouth colony (father's father), and the mountains of eastern Tennessee (father's mother). I like to birdwatch, star gaze, and hike, and love dogs.
