| Introduction | I am a mother, teacher, fitness enthusiast, and photographer. I am married to my Jr. High sweetheart, B. We started "going out" in April 1993 and are still holding hands today. We have had our trials and tribulations, making us stronger and more stubborn. My mother fought a brave and inspiring battle against Ovarian Cancer for several years and finally died in 2002; forever changing and affecting the person that I am today. A few short years later we endured the pain of a miscarriage, followed by five long years of infertility. These years consumed our lives and included many failed IVF's (even an IVF abroad) and other infertility treatments. Then one perfect surprise - a natural pregnancy that resulted in our beautiful daughter born in March of 2011! When we thought life could not get any better ~ the icing on our cake, and making all of our dreams a reality, a second surprise pregnancy due September 2013!! This second pregnancy has obviously come a little later in our life than we had planned...thus earning me the title of AMA (advanced maternal age) from my doctor. I am proud to wear this acronym and feel that I have earned it with grace, glory, sweat, tears, and miracles!!! |
