| Introduction | I created the Raisina Grape character in 1974, when I was in the sixth grade. I wrote several stories with her as the heroine. I've developed the original Raisina (pronounced "Ruh-zeen-uh") story lines a bit over the years, but on the advice of my youngest son, I've decided to keep the setting of the stories in 1974. This explains why the stories contain no cell phones or references to the Internet or texting, etc. Raisina is a 'tween and I will probably keep her age static throughout the series. I originally conceived her to be a purple character - purple skin, eyes, hair, etc., but now her only purple feature is her deep purple eyes. I hope to find an illustrator soon to bring her to life. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy meeting and reading about Raisina Grape! |
