My blogs
| Introduction | I stood on the alpine summit of Algonquin Mountain – here for sunset and sunrise. I stood next to a famous landscape photographer – chance? Maybe. And so my photographic career began. The next summer, I left the craggy yet intimate spaces of the Adirondack Mountains for the beautiful and almost desolate majesty of the American West. 13,000 miles and rolls of slide film later, I had seen it and done it. I was hooked. Photography has always been about vision – and for me, the vision is beauty. Shown something beautiful, I allow my emotional response to guide my photographic eye in order to eventually communicate that beauty to others. |
