Gender Female
Occupation Artist / Doll maker
Location Victoria, Australia
Introduction Self-taught Artist, and Doll maker, specializing in hand-sculpted OOAK Fantasy Art Dolls. I have always held a love for Fantasy. The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, the tales of Redwall and Valdemar opened the door to worlds filled with strange creatures, magic and enchanted beauty. When I was very little I loved to watch the movies ‘Dark Crystal’ and ‘Labyrinth’ I also used to spend many hours lost in the book ’Faeries’ by Brian Froud and Alan Lee. This undoubtedly has had a great influence upon shaping my imagination as I was growing up. Pre-Raphaelite art, the expressions and the way the fabric fell fascinated me. The works of John William Waterhouse, Edward Burne-Jones, William Morris and Arthur Hughes have had a great influence upon my vision of fairies as well as modern day artists Selina French, Stephanie Pui-Mun Law and the amazing French fantasy artist Sandrine Gestin."
