About me

Introduction Black Women for Obama for Change is a virtual national network of over 300 women who helped to elect Barack Obama to be President of the United States. The bi-partisan group was established during the Presidential primaries of 2008 by E. Faye Williams, Esq., Obama National Surrogate and Stephanie E. Myers, Coordinator of BWFO on-line and grassroots efforts in Virginia, and other States. The group is dedicated to advocating on behalf of the policies of the Obama Administration and supporting the First Family. During 2009, BWFO4Change intends to periodically poll its members regarding national issues so that the voices of Black Women will be heard in national policy. The organization also plans to contribute to the Sojourner Truth Fund managed by the National Congress of Black Women, to help establish the first statue of a Black woman in the U.S. Congress.
