Introduction My mother was from Nadleh Whut'en. My late father was Wet'suwet'en of the Laksamshu clan. The Wet'suwet'en Hereditary Chiefs hired me (1992-4) to head its first organization. Then I completed studied in Natural Resources Conservation in 1999. In 1999, the Gitxsan hired me. Our team attempted to negotiate an authentic reconciliation with Canada and British Columbia. However, they had no real interest in authentic reconciliation. Yet, the BC Government invited me to join a trade mission to China. I was the Gitxsan representative on it. This experience inspired me to work internationally. The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) hired me. I took part in the Kyoto Accord Climate Change Negotiations (2005-2006) at Montreal (COP 11, SB 24) and Bonn, Germany. A new right-wing government then stopped all climate change initiatives in Canada. Consequently, research and extension became my next work (2008-9). A Parisian film maker invited me to assist him with a documentary film called “Mât du clan de la grenouille”. It was broadcast in France and Germany (January 2011). I became the second Canadian director on the world board of the Forest Stewardship Council International (2011-17).
