Introduction	I am a percussionist+. This includes all percussion, especially marimba ("like a big xylophone"), dulcimer, cimbalom, glass xylophone, other glass vessels, and bowed 4-octave psaltery. I am also a composer, a college music professor (Iowa State University), a concertizer, a collaborator, and an improviser. I have lived in Wirtz, VA; Greenville, NC; Denton, TX; Evanston and Chicago, IL; and Ames, IA. I have performed in those places plus several other states and countries. But what I remember the most about all those places besides the wonderful people I have met is the creative inspiration gathered from them. And now in my 30's I don't find that I am settling down, my brain moves faster and quicker with being creative than ever before. This is not good for one's sleep habits.
