Introduction	I was born in Manchester and now live in York. I am a Textiles and Surface Pattern Designer. Although my specialism is designing in repeat for interior furnishing fabrics and wallpapers I also enjoy creating designs for fashion as well as card and gift products. I enjoy the process of taking a concept and developing it through a variety of research methods into a series of final designs. Drawing is an important element of this research. I enjoy using my skills in this area to create well observed representations which display a sensitivity and understanding of the subject through a range of mark making techniques and materials. I am inspired by anything which arouses my creative senses,for example a beautiful and intriguing plant,an old mill,autumn leaves.
