| Introduction | Miguel was a self taught musician until he reached the age of 10, when local drum teacher, Craig Thatcher, began teaching Miguel traps. In 2007 master percussionist Luis Conte came to Santa Barbara to give a workshop at Dancing Drum studios. Not Long after the workshop, Luis came back to Santa Barbara to give private lessons at Mikes Drum Shop. That is when Miguel Became one of Luis Conte's students. Miguel Continues taking lessons with Luis. In 2008 Miguel was found on Youtube by Latin Percussion Mentor Jose Miguel Rosa asking him to fly to Orlando, Florida for a 3 day Drum and Percussion camp which was taught by Jose Miguel Rosa, Hector Pocho Neciosup, Horacio Hernandez, And Glen Coruba. Miguel Continues to play Drums and Latin Percussion. |
