| Introduction | My mother is my #One Fan and my BFF. I am an international poet, author of "Forever In Your Eyes" dedicated to Dr. Maya Angelou. The foreword of my book is written by Dr. Franklin Sonn, former Ambassador of South Africa for the United States of America. Poetry is my passion. My latest book is a cookbook with poetry "Cooking Up South", published by Capital Bookfest, Largo, Maryland, 2010. I am founder/director of the youth poetry group "Girls and Boys with Hearts". In March of 2010, I submitted the first volume of Sylvia Dianne Beverly papers to Gelham Library, George Washington University. I am a member of the Anoited P.E.N.S. (Poets Empowered to Nurture Souls) out of Ebenezer A.M.E. Church in Camp Springs, Maryland. My home church is St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Washington, D.C. since 1959. One of my new found interest is being a member of the Marian P. Hymes Drama and Production Ministry. I love my family and would give my life for anyone of them. Dr. Maya Angelou is my favorite author of all time and Smokey Robinson "Love Poet" is my favorite singer. All that I do is by God's grace and I love to help others. Peace Love and Blessings. Jesus is the answer. |
