| Introduction | Imagine a person with a keen interest in marine biology, in travels to regions with natural and cultural wonders and in photography. And now imagine this person to be so lucky as to be living and working in an island that offers her the opportunity to combine all these interests! That’s me! Ever since I first set my foot on Maldivian ground and made bubbles in its coral gardens in 2004, I have admired the beauty of the islands, the reefs and the people and enjoyed doing my bit to protect their unique environment. Over the next few years, I have made journeys to other Asian countries (mainly islands), which were just as intriguing. This platform is meant to share some of my photos and impressions with you and give you an update of my life far away from my home in Germany. |
