| Introduction | After many years teaching children and adults, and a second career in the educational technology industry, I am learning to enjoy early retirement without feeling non-productive. Actually I am proud that I have worked full time for 36 years and managed a household as well. House keeping is full time on its own when done well or even half well. My husband of 37 years and I have raised two sons and have filled our empty nest with a precious dog named Bailey. When I worked in the educational technology industry, I traveled all over the US. My favorite location was San Francisco. I spent time there because the division's HQ was located there. My fondness for the area spilled over to my younger son who chose San Francisco and Napa Valley for his honeymoon, February, 2008. |
| Interests | When I am gardening, I forget about life's stressors and focus on nature. My favorite crafts are painting with watercolors, stamping, scrapping, working with polymer clay and card making. |

All of the Alexander McCall Smith series that involve intelligent female problem solvers in far away lands take me away from my everyday environment. Kathy Reichs' books are fun to read to while away the time when in a suspenseful reading mode. |
