About me

Introduction	Going From Raising Cain to Raising Canaan A Group of Recovering Addicts got together and decided it was time to give back instead of just taking. This group of men decided they needed to help other Addicts overcome the grips of Addiction. This group of men now come together as a Grassroots Organization Ministry named: Raising Canaan. Working with Roni Lacuesta of Canaan Intl. Colombia. They decided instead of just giving money they would go work themselves. They take mission trips regularly to Colombia. Ray Nelson-Group Leader now goes for 6-7 wks at a time. Together they have worked on and built buildings, Done Repairs, Taught, and are now building the Northrup International Training Center. Their mission is to apply the love of God in their every day life. To raise funds needed to go down to S. America and to help financially support Canaan in Colombia and the City of Refuge in Peru. Ray's Wife Lori also makes trips to Columbia. Together they teach and support Canaan in various ways. Ray Nelson and wife Lori have been Married almost 40 years. 18 of that has been recovery & maintenance of Addictions and Codependency.
