| Introduction | The Scriptures are the only words God has left us, and we must carefully labor to understand what they say. For help in understanding the Bible I look to the Puritan era when the Bible was the chief subject of the day and the world's sharpest thinkers devoted themselves to its study. The Puritan Westminster Shorter Shorter Catechism may be the world's best document among those of similar length for summarizing what God requires us to believe and do.Puritan congregationalism sets forth that beautiful ideal for church form and practice which congregations should ever be pursuing. Pilgrim's Progress author John Bunyan left us counsel for baptizing that is wise, Scriptural and peaceable. I am looking for persons who desire to learn these three worthy bodies of Biblical truth.
