Introduction Join me on my radical body transformation journey. I am Dr. Paul Buschman and I am about to change my life. I was an NCAA Division I College Athlete (track and field) from 1996-2000. I was in the best shape of my life in 2000 at a weight of 290 pounds. I threw the discus 185' 5" (56.52 meters) that year (ranked #29 in NCAA) and was able to bench press 345, power clean 372, and had a 27.5" vertical jump. After my eligibility was up I stopped training (and kept eating) and put all my efforts into getting into medical school. I graduated from medical school in 2007 and then completed a residency in internal medicine. I am currently working as a hospitalist physician. I first topped 400 pounds sometime during my first year of medical school. I was as heavy as 435 at one point during my residency. I am 405 as of today (4/6/2013) and I will be writing about my journey back to being a great athlete. Join me on this journey.
