| Introduction | I am a wife, mother, and grandmother. I was raised in a big city in Florida but have lived in the mountains of western North Carolina for over 30 years. When I was in my late 20's,the Lord Jesus Christ radically changed my heart. I was a child of the 60's and had plunged into the "hippie culture" of drugs and immorality. A friend who had turned his life around loved us enough to share Jesus with us. Since then I have lived with a grateful heart for His presence in my life. He cleansed me from the inside out. He gave me a new heart and that old lifestyle melted away. He set about healing me from the rejection and woundings of living in a fallen world.It is my delight to share the things that I have learned in my journey with Him. I am still very much a work in progress. Thank you for your patience. |
| Interests | Love to read, spend time with family, lead women's Bible studies, volunteering at the Pregnancy and Parenting Center, travel, and I enjoy cooking much to my husband's delight. |
| Favorite movies | Princess Bride is my all time favorite. I also love The Phantom of the Opera and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. |
| Favorite music | Contemporary Christian Music Keith Green, Michael Card,Rich Mullins, and Fernando Ortega are my all time favorites. I still love Buddy Holly, The Platters, Roy Orbison, and Bob Dylan. Yes, I am THAT old. |
| Favorite books | I've read countless biographies in my lifetime. I've read many of the rite of passage books like Siddhartha, Catcher in the Rye, The Stranger, etc. Some of the books that have encouraged my spiritual growth are: The Pursuit of God by A.W. Tozer, Holiness,Truth, and the Presence of God by Frances Frangipane, When Godly People Do Ungodly Things by Beth Moore |
