| Introduction | Archi is not really my name- It's a play on my initials! I am a passionate home chef.I love cooking and preparing food for people. I also love collecting and preparing the raw ingredients myself. I grow my own vegetables and herbs. If I can, I like to prepare my own meat from slaughtering to deepfreeze. Because I have a great appreciation for our Creator, I am deeply interested in the wild life and ecology of Africa. I am artistic and a total bookworm and keen student of the bible.I love learning new skills, and have enjoyed teaching myself electronics,foundry work, fine carpentry as well as oddities like sewing, net making, chemistry and learning about natural remedies.I very rarely follow recipes. More guided by ideas. If you know the principles of cooking and baking you dont need recipes. My challenge to all cooks who follow recipes....Learn WHY food does stuff. I hunt and fish stricty for the pot. I am a strong believer in humane hunting,fishing and slaughtering of animals. Hunting is strictly head or neck shots or leave it alone. No fish I catch ever flaps to death on the boat deck or bank. I love the outdoors, I love living close to nature as I do. |
