Introduction | Well, I live in the frozen north on a very windy hill with my lovely man Foggy.I love my family and friends and never see enough of them. Half my week is work (and that doesn't belong in here) and the other is home and family, gardening and being creative in as many different ways as I can - I wish I had travelled the creative path earlier in life but got caught up in the need cycle of living to work instead of working to live. Making up for it all now and loving it! |
Interests | Writing, painting, ceramics, reading, gardening, Celtic culture, music, blogging, anything anyone might consider a bit woowoo! |

Favorite Music | where to start? How about this quote from Ravi Shanker? " How does one put the spiritual significance of music on paper? Music transcends all languages and barriers and is the most beautiful communicative skill one can have. Music makes us all experience different emotions or the Navarasa as we call it. Different types of music, whether it is vocal or instrumental, Eastern or Western, Classical or Pop or folk from any part of the world can all be spiritual if it has the power to stir the soul of a person and transcend time for the moment. It makes one get goose-bumps in the body and mind and equates the highest mental orgasm and the release of grateful tears" other artists I love include: John Martin, Joni Mitchell, Chemical Brothers, Massive Attack, Mr Scruff, Robert Johnson, Bonobo, Weird Al, Muddy Waters, Bob Dylan, A Man called Adam, Pink Floyd, Jules (as much for bringing new music to my attention as for his own) Nick Drake, Nick Cave, Laurie Anderson, Alabama 3, Groove Armarda, Bill Bailey, Mozart, Bach, Faithless, Eno, Eels, Fat Boy Slim, Green Day, Iggy, Jah Wobble, Leonard Cohen, Leftfield, Lou Reed, Neil Young, RHCPs, Van Morrison, Tibetan Throat music, I could go on but, the one who musically turns my knees to jelly, TOM WAITS |
