Interests	Dr Alana Lentin is a lecturer in social theory and political sociology in the Department of Sociology, University of Sussex. She writes on race, racism and anti-racism from a critical perspective, as well as social movements and migrant collective action. Her books include Racism and Anti-racism in Europe (2004) and Racism: A beginner’s guide (2008). She is also the co-editor of Race and State (2006) and The Politics of Diversity in Europe (2008). She has published articles in the European Journal of Social Theory, Patterns of Prejudice and The European Journal of Cultural Studies.
