| Introduction | My top 5 graphic adventures are Monkey Island, Last Crusade, Monkey Island 2, Space Quest IV and Space Quest V... So why is my user name like this? Well, because there are 9 Coktel Vision games in my top 20! But how can games with such a stupid plot be so high on my list? Mostly because I don't care about plots in video games. I mostly prefer Lost in Time, Ween and Fascination, and then the 3 Goblins games. But I also enjoy the Inca games (especially Inca 2) and even Bargon Attack, my favorite bad game that I like to play from time to time because it's cute. So thanks, France! You did a good job in the MS-DOS era, especially compared to Spain (at least we did some good 8 bit computer games)! Since you're here, let me also recommend you some hidden gems from other platforms and styles: - MSDOS action games: You should check out the Dangerous Dave series by Carmack and Romero. - 8 bit computers: I recommend Bruce Lee, Saboteur and Saboteur 2. You should also try Matchday 2, a soccer game that plays like a platformer. - Semi-modern 3D games: If you haven't played Half-Life and Portal, go do it ASAP. |
