Introduction	I'm a 55-year-old guy, a lifelong history buff. I have a great interest in politics and I am especially concerned about the extreme right faction and corporations currently controlling our country. I read political material voraciously (both liberal and conservative), along with many books concerning U.S. and world history. I have a vast music collection (old school vinyl) besides hundreds of CDs. I collect old movies and TV shows, old comics and books on silver screen stars. I am a lifelong Cardinals fan (football and baseball), I love cats and dogs and of course am devoted to my wonderful wife of 30+ years and my two beautiful daughters. I am an old soul still looking for my place in the world and have great trepidation for the future of our planet. I also have physical ailments that cause me great pain. My poems and writings reflect that.
Interests	History, politics, equal rights, poetry, music, classic movies and sports.
Favorite movies	"The Thin Man" Series (1934-1947), The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951), The Thing (1951), A Christmas Carol (1951),Drive-in 50s movies, pre-code films (early 1930s), silent films.
Favorite music	Jimmy Cliff, Free, Ten Years After, Ricky Nelson, Rod Stewart, Elvis, Bobby Fuller, 50s-60s girls groups and a couple thousand others.
Favorite books	A People's History of the United States (Howard Zinn), The Shock Doctrine (Naomi Klein), The Family (Jeff Sharlet), The American Century (Harold Evans), The Iron Heel (Jack London, Hard Times (Charles Dickens), All Quiet on the Western Front,Shakespeare, Marx and anything by Poe.
