Introduction	I am just a military wife caught between his service and our duty. The love of my life is a proud member of the Air National Guard. This makes me a member of a special society of women, women who know at any point in time their husbands can be called out and possibly never come home. Women that connect in an instant because we share a bond of pride, frustration, and fear. Its a society of women who can play both roles husband and wife, mom and dad, because they have too for their families, for their sanity. I am a unique military wife though. I am a proud Air National Guard wife, but this makes me a fence-rider of sorts. My husband does work for the ANG full time, meaning military is his full time job. However, I am not surrounded by military all the time. I don't have military support and people who get it across the street. We are the family of stripes in a community of civilians. PERSONAL STORY: I have been with my husband, Ry, for 6 years now. We have 2 daughters ages 4 and 1, Love Bug & Little Bear. We have been a military family for 5 years and counting.
