Introduction	I finally know what I want to be when I grow up! This is good since I recently turned 51 and it is time to start BECOMING what I want to be—which is a columnist. I am a native New Englander with a great husband of 25 years, two wonderful college-aged kids and a career in marketing and communications that I love. And lots of opinions. I have long thought I would be a columnist some day, and the day has come to make that happen. This blog is my practice column. Here I will share my observations, insights and opinions—and, I hope, gain some observations, insight and opinions from readers. In the process, I hope to become a better writer.
