About me

Introduction Migrant CARE was established in 5 March 2004 as a response to current development of global politics and economy that represses the migrant workers. Beside the absence of good governance in dealing with these workers by the Indonesian government, the problems that strike these workers to some extent are caused by the unjust global system. The structure and the development of global economy have put migrant workers in a disadvantage position. Therefore, the struggle to defend the rights of the migrant workers should be impartial and international in nature. To achieve this goal, during the period of 2004-2010, Migrant CARE concentrates its programs on the development of regional networks and the advocacy of migrant workers in Southeast Asia. The main purpose behind these activities is to develop regional and bilateral agreement among Southeast Asian countries on the protection of migrant workers and to seek for the global justice for these workers.
