| Introduction | A south indian by birth...and brought up in Mumbai, the difference in the two cuisines always amazed me! Standing in my mother's kitchen, as a kid, I learnt how to inculcate the differences in everyday life. It has been a long way since the girl holding her mother's apron moved to america...and I varied a lot in my cuisines. But somewhere deep down, the little girl still remained. The smell of roasting coconut or the faint hum of the grinder in the morning or the smell of filter coffee brought all those memories back...as if they were just yesterday.
