| Introduction | I used to be Nanette Rayman and now I'm Nanette Rayman Rivera. I used to be an actress until I couldn't afford to get headshots anymore, couldn't abide the erosion of The Method into typecasting into let's just cast a real gang member mentality. I am a writer now and I have spent my whole adult life trying to get a job. The gods won't allow it. I have been nominated for two Pushcart Prizes in poetry - Arsenic Lobster and non-fiction - Dragonfire. I am the winner of the first Glass Woman Prize for non-fiction. I have been published in about 70 literary journals and anthologies. I have two poetry collections - Project: Butterflies and alegrias. |
