| Introduction | Located in East Peoria, IL Hooked on Fishing is a non-profit, 501c3 organization established in 2008. The fishing park is a private fishing facility that has been opened up to the entire community. The park operates from May through October. The park is staffed by volunteers who assist the many groups who visit. Groups we serve include: schools, nursing homes, scout troops, churches, special needs groups, developmentally disabled and physically challenged citizens, and various other organizations. Hooked on Fishing provides all the fishing equipment and bait free of charge to the users. The ponds are regularly stocked with fish including bluegill, bass, and catfish. All fishing is “catch and release”. Operating expenses are paid through donations and fund raising activities. |
