About me

Location Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States
Introduction I love great stories, and I love to write. I believe that the scariest stories resonate psychologically with the reader, and don't rely upon gimmicks like cheap thrills, gore, or recycling predictable tropes to frighten the audience. My passion is to create stories that make the reader experience the same primal psychological torment felt by the characters in the story. The stuff that scares me the most isn't paranormal or supernatural in nature. The most frightening, shocking, and surreal subject matter of all is the capacity for depravity demonstrated by seemingly normal people under the wrong circumstances. My stories have been published in several horror themed markets, and also appear in several commercially distributed anthologies. I currently serve as an editor for Dark Moon Books and Dark Moon Digest [I'm a sucker for exceptionally written short fiction!], and I'm an active member of Cornell University's Irving Literary Society.
