| Introduction | I am a student of Shifu Woo Chai Meng (Chin.: Hu Jie Min 胡介民) and practice Henan Shaolin Lohan Men (Chin.: 河南少林羅漢門). I began studying traditional Chinese martial arts in 1968 at the age of 17 with Shifu Kin Min Ching (1928-1988) in Calgary's Chinatown. In 1976 I moved to New York. where I met Shifu Woo and in 1979 became one of his close students. I've written as few articles in Inside Kung Fu Magazine in the early 80's on Shaolin martial arts as well have contributed to the Routledge Encyclopedia of Contemporary Chinese Culture. |
