| Introduction | To create awareness about the maritime industry and change the prejudice of this industry, the birds of common feather have come together and formed the Maritime Awareness Program Society (MAPS). Maritime Awareness Program Society (MAPS) is a non-profit organization created and established to spread awareness about the maritime industry. The MAPS founding committee is an association of like minded members of the maritime industry who are with a common vision, purpose and goal. With Golf as the backdrop, MAPS Summit is an annual event that would bring together the leading dignitaries of the shipping industry under one roof and contribute to one single vision “ Maritime Awareness” The MAPS Summit 2014 hence is the first step in this direction. The event is scheduled to be held on 22nd Feb, 2014 at the Oxford Golf Course Pune, with a golf tournament followed by a Gala Dinner. This summit will be supported by a robust media plan as well as sponsorship from reputed players in the market. Participation in this initiative is open to all from the maritime fraternity.
