| Introduction | After I graduated from the University of Hawaii with a BA in Sociology in 1968, I traveled the world for 7 years. I taught English at Voice of America, Thammasat University and AUA Language Center in Bangkok, Thailand. I then bummed around Europe for 3 months. From Europe I flew to New York, where I resided for 5-1/2 years. I was a graduate student in music at Columbia University. I now live in Hawaii, am married to David, and have 2 daughters, 2 grandkids, and a son in law. I have published 3 memoirs and was a radio commentator on Hawaii Public Radio.
