| Introduction | I have 19 years of classroom teaching experience, a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. I am a graduate of the Greater Boston Principal Residency Network. Above all of this, I am a mom. |
| Interests | I am interested in children and how they learn. I am fascinated with how they make sense of the world...I listen as they play/work. I was part of an amazing team of educators, lead by Deborah Meier, who started the Mission Hill School in Boston (a public school). I taught there for 11 years. Before that, I taught at the Brimmer and May School, an independent day school in Chestnut Hill, MA. The two schools are very different, though they are both members of the Coalition of Essential Schools. Oh, Blogger prefers I use list form...so that people with similar interest can find each other. (That is why these words are all blue!) So here is my list, Mission Hill School, Brimmer and May School, Coalition of Essential Schools, teaching, learning, play, child development, media influences on children |
