Introduction	I am a 25 year old single mother with a 4 year old son. I consider myself to be a fair person and liberal thinker. I've taken government classes in high school and at the college level, and feel that it is important for citizens to stay abreast of current issues that affect society today. I was not able to vote in the 2000 election, which some Americans feel was the most important election of our time, because I was not of age. Since then I try to actively participate in elections by voting and working with campaign offices. I am now enrolled in Texas Government, with the hope that I will learn more about how our government works at the state level.
